* Each semester is approximately five months, including in-country orientation and training.
** All placements include three weeks (four weeks if the teaching institution contributes) of rent-free furnished accomodations which begin the first day of orientation.
APPLICATION DEADLINES:
1. For teaching institutions that operate under a semester academic calendar (K-12 schools and universities), the application deadlines are listed below.
Semester 1, 2012 plus Semester 2, 2012, end of February 2012 departure, end-December 2012 return: first round of application reviews will start August 16, 2011 and continue through December 30, 2011
Semester 2, 2012 only; mid-July departure, end-December return: first round of application reviews will start April 15, 2012.
Semester 2, 2012 plus Semester 1, 2013, mid-July 2012 departure, end-July 2013 return: first round of application reviews will start April 15, 2012.
2. For teaching institutions that do not operate on the semester academic calendar (adult -learner language institutes) and hire on a monthly basis throughout the year, the application deadline is as follows:
90-120 days prior to available start date.
