* Each semester is approximately five months, including in-country orientation and training.
** All placements include three weeks (four weeks if the teaching institution contributes) of rent-free furnished accomodations which begin the first day of orientation.
APPLICATION DEADLINES:
1. For teaching institutions that operate under a semester academic calendar (K-12 schools and universities), the application deadlines are listed below.
Semester 1, 2009 only: end of February 2009 departure, mid-July 2009 return: application deadline is November 30, 2008.
Semester 1, 2009 plus Semester 2, 2009, end of February 2009 departure, mid-December 2009 return: application deadline is November 30, 2008.
Semester 2, 2009 only: end of July 2009 departure, mid-December 2009 return: application deadline is April 15, 2009.
Semester 2, 2009 plus Semester 1, 2010: end of July 2009 departure, mid-July 2010 return: application deadline is April 15, 2009.
Semester 1, 2010 only; end of February 2010 departure, mid-July 2010 return: application deadline is October 31, 2009.
Semester 1, 2010 plus Semester 2, 2010: end of February 2010 departure, mid-December 2010 return: application deadline is October 31, 2009
2. For teaching institutions that do not operate on the semester academic calendar (adult -learner language institutes) and hire on a monthly basis throughout the year, the application deadline is as follows:
90 days prior to available start date.
